Qamili i Vogël, as you all know him, was born on February 24, 1923 in the city of Gjakova, to become one of the most popular voices of the city.
His memory continues to be honored 30 years after his death. Shqipe Muhaxhiri, the eldest daughter of Qamili i Vogël, in the show "PRO X" tells about his life beyond music.
Qamili i Vogël spent a difficult childhood after the death of his parents and therefore went to Tirana, where he worked as a waiter. His first contact with Ymer Riza, at the age of 12, led him to embark on a musical journey from which he was not separated until the last days of his life.
He reached the peak of his career in 1952, when he became a regular member of the Radio-Prishtina Orchestra. Then his melodious voice penetrated beyond Gjakova.
In the "PRO X" show, Muhaxhiri tells about the forbidden love of Qamil e Vogël, which ended tragically. She also tells about the songs she dedicated to her lover with whom she experienced the greatest happiness and despair.
Qamili the Little, without a single day of schooling in music, managed to create many melodies and songs that he gave to the people. For his daughter, Shqipe Muhaxhiri, even today this remains the biggest surprise.
