The anonymous group of artists "The Secret Handshake" has placed a golden sculpture on the National Mall in Washington depicting President Donald Trump and the late Jeffrey Epstein in the iconic scene from the movie "Titanic."
Visitors and passersby on the National Mall, not far from the US Capitol building, were treated to an unusual sight on Tuesday. A nearly four-meter-tall, gold-painted sculpture called "King of the World" appeared on the grass.

Letter to the Reader — Why We're Asking for Your Support ContributeThe installation depicts US President Donald Trump embracing the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein from behind, while the two stand on a replica of the bow of a ship in the famous scene that made Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet famous in the movie “Titanic.” Behind this provocative artistic action is the anonymous guerrilla collective “The Secret Handshake,” which has previously criticized the Trump administration with satirical works.
Next to the sculpture, the artists also placed ten large banners with pictures of Trump and Epstein, along with the slogan “Make America Safe Again” and a modified Justice Department logo. At the base of the monument is a plaque with the message: “The tragic love story between Jack and Rose was built on luxurious trips, wild parties and secret acts. This monument is dedicated to the relationship between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, a friendship that was apparently built on luxurious trips, wild parties and secret acts.” The artists explained that they found inspiration in Trump’s posts on social networks where he called himself a king, so they decided to present him as the “king of the world” in the context of one of the most famous cinematic references.
