Actor Bekim Fehmiu has been gone for a decade now, but his legacy continues to be an inspiration.
The Ministry of Culture, on Monday, did not organize any activity to remember the actor in the first decade of his death, nor did it share the annual award that bears his name.
According to the regulation, the awarding of the "Bekim Fehmi" award is set for June 1, on the actor's birthday.
In recent years, with the "Bekim Fehmiu" award, directors and actors have been honored, who have left their mark on cinematography with their works. At the end of July last year, this award was given to director Burbuqe Berisha.
Minister Vlora Dumoshi has declared for KTV that this year a new standard will be set for awarding the award.

Minister Dumoshi explained the failure to mark Fehmi's anniversary with the situation created by the pandemic.
In Prishtina, a street in the "Lakërishte" neighborhood, which is connected to that of "Dardania", bears the name of Bekim Fehmi.
The name of the Albanian artist is also borne by the City Theater of Prizren.
In honor of Bekim Fehmi, a postage stamp was also designed and promoted at the end of 2013.
