The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, today awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit to the well-known singer Shyhrete Behluli.
According to Thaçi, whole generations have grown up and been inspired by Shyhrete's songs.
Thaci's post:
"Today, I awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit to the well-known singer, Shyhrete Behluli. It has been more than four decades since she dedicated herself, with all her strength, to the development and promotion of the Albanian folk song. With her songs about the homeland, the flag, heroism, Kosovo and Albania, entire generations have grown up and been inspired."
