Within a few weeks, the Albanian community in Austria has collected over 400 dresses and skirts of all kinds for the artistic installation "I'm thinking of you" by the artist Alketa Mripa-Xhafa. Three years after the realization in the stadium of Pristina and several smaller versions held in Brussels (2017) and this year also in Luxembourg, the installation will unfold today (Saturday) in the premises of the "Hotel Europahaus" in Vienna, Koha Ditore writes today.
This event is just one of the many activities within the "Weeks of Albanian Culture" (Albanische Kulturwochen) in Austria, which started on the 20th of last month.
On the program agenda for the month of November are book promotions, exhibitions, as well as a celebration for the Independence of Albania by the "Iliria" association.
Thus, on Thursday night at the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo, in the Austrian capital, the book "Child Martyrs of Kosovo 1981-1999" by the authors Hanëmshahe Ilazi and Nusret Pllana was promoted.
This book, which was promoted a few days ago in the "Pjeter Bogdani" national library in Pristina, chronicles in a documentary way the story of 1 martyred children killed by the Serbian army and police in the last war in Kosovo. Meanwhile, on Wednesday of next week, on November 400, the book by Eqrem Zenelaj "Trojan War according to the Dict of Crete and Darius of Phrygia" will be promoted in the building of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Vienna.
The artist Alketa Xhafa-Mripa has said that the installation "Thinking of you" aims to show the world the truth about the last war in Kosovo and the suffering of the Albanian people.

"My main goal has always been to show this installation in different countries of the world after Kosovo, in order to show the bitter truth about the Albanian people, and in particular about our women and sisters in war for whom even today, after twenty years, justice has not been put in place", said Xhafa-Mripa, on Friday, a day before her installation was unveiled in Vienna.
As the installation has received invitations to be presented in other countries of the world during the next year, the artist who lives in London has said that the exhibition of the work in question aims to emphasize the delayed justice. According to her, the message of the installation is reinforced by the documentary made by Fitim Shala.
