The premises of the Embassy of Albania in Copenhagen are filled with images of Albanian nature. To mark the 110th anniversary of the Independence of Albania, this Albanian institution together with the Consulate of Kosovo in Copenhagen opened an exhibition with the photographs of Arian Mavriq.
The well-known photographer of the wild world among the Albanian territories, but also beyond them, has sent fragments of the geography of Kosovo and Albania to the Danish capital.
In her speech, Ambassador Elida Petoshati spoke about November 28, about the arduous path to independence, as well as about the important achievements of the Albanian world in this 110th anniversary.
"The journey of Ismail Qemali, nor of the 40 signatories of Independence, was not easy. Isa Boletini's journey was not easy either. The journey of hundreds and thousands of enlightened Albanians around the world who paved the Great Act of Independence with war, blood and countless efforts was not easy either," she said. According to her, the Albanians of Bucharest, those of Egypt, Istanbul, America and elsewhere are listed on the altar of honor of the Albanian nation, because they prepared the future of Albania and our nation with unparalleled patriotism.
"They challenged slavery and built a spiritual homeland far from the national lands, the homeland of Albanian letters, that of our wonderful language, of schools, printing presses, magazines and publications, of forging the national consciousness that lit the torch of resistance and of the darkness", said the ambassador of Albania. According to her, none of these heroes had an easy journey, but despite the obstacles, their titanic sacrifice steered the wheel of our history towards the "Balcony of Independence", in Vlora on November 28, 1912.

She appreciated the opening of the exhibition as a meaningful symbolism to celebrate such a special day for the entire Albanian nation, while the Albania-Kosovo Culture Week is being held these days until November 30 in Tirana and in various cities of the country.
Referring to the exhibition, according to the Albanian media, the ambassador underlined that the magical nature is not just our geographical relief.
Albanian nature is our historical relief, the spiritual and cultural relief where we have built the values of freedom, we have shaped our dignity and our rich heritage, we have bent our dreams and aspirations for the future, where we have our national symbols alive. It is up to all of us together to preserve and enrich it, in a sustainable way, to pass it on to generations", she said.
In his greeting, the head of the Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo, Valdrin Grainca, spoke about the importance of the historical event of National Flag Day. He also spoke about the values of the exhibition of the photographer Arian Mavriqi.

E Mavriqi has shown that he is currently engaged not only in raising and enriching the photographic archive, but also in associating it with a detailed database on names and scientific facts. He is continuing this work in close cooperation with Albanian professionals in each field, for whom he conveyed deep appreciation and gratitude.
