Hip-Hop with orchestra in another dimension with the songs of MC Kreshë and Lyrical Son

Organized by “Red Bull Kosova”, curated by “Sose Entertainment”, on a stage covered in colorful lighting and with a powerful symphonic background, the icons of Kosovar hip-hop have appeared: MC Kresha and Lyrical Son. But this time, not only with the beats that have always been heard, but supported by a full symphonic orchestra, a rearrangement that has given a new dimension to every verse and every rhyme. The whole scene has seemed like a journey to another universe. “Red Bull Symphonic” has not been just a concert, but also an artistic experiment that breaks the boundaries between genres and unites two different musical worlds in a single unique and unforgettable form.

The night that will always be remembered as one of the rarest in the music scene of Pristina has combined the sounds of hip-hop with those of classical music in a magnificent way. The environment on the outskirts of the capital, which served as the hall of this concert, on Wednesday night was filled with thousands of hands that rose to the lively rhythm of the music. Organized by “Red Bull Kosova”, curated by “Sose Entertainment”, on the stage dressed with diverse lighting and with a powerful symphonic background, the icons of Kosovar hip-hop have appeared: MC Kresha and Lyrical Son. But this time, not only with the beats that have always been heard, but supported by a full symphony orchestra, a rearrangement that has given a new dimension to every verse and every rhyme.

The entire stage felt like a journey into another universe. “Red Bull Symphonic” was not just a concert, it was an artistic experiment that broke down the boundaries between genres and united two different musical worlds in a single, unique and unforgettable form. Under the artistic direction of Dzijan Emin, the internationally renowned Macedonian conductor, the sounds of classical violins, trumpets and percussion fused with the urban beats and direct lyrics of MC Kreshë and Lyrical Son. Each song sounded different, but still familiar, a feeling that rarely occurs in concerts.

Dzijan Emin, a name that has performed with the greatest orchestras in the world and in Pristina, has conveyed not only his musical expertise, but also a vision: that classical and urban music can not only coexist, but also flourish together. MC Kresha, born in Mitrovica, with a career that spans more than two decades, has conveyed through his verses a strong emotion that has been felt by the entire audience. From “Lej fleshat” to the newest projects, everything has been interpreted differently, with a solemnity that only a symphony orchestra can give. Alongside him, Lyrical Son, the artist from Pristina who has always stood out for the pure flow and literary intelligence of his lyrics, has given the stage a new spirit, a wisdom that has resonated with every note of the interpretation.

A special part of the concert was the presence of special guests. Shpat Deda, with his sensitive voice and the emotional depth he conveys, has brought a balance between the strength of hip-hop and the delicacy of the melodies, while rapper Lluni, part of the PINT label, has added pure energy with his unique style and powerful flow. At the end, they were joined by Nuke, who is also part of the “Pint” label.

Along with the Symphony Orchestra, the ensemble also included three backing vocalists: Erletë Rexhepi, Etrit Nura and Margareta Shabani, who were hired by “RedBull Kosovo”. They said they are “lucky to be part of this magnificent project”.

"This collaboration was made possible by 'RedBulli', and I, as part of the ensemble, was lucky enough to be in this magnificent project. 'RedBull Symphonic' is also held in other countries around the world, and today it was held for the first time in Kosovo, and it was a fantastic organization," said vocalist Erletë Rexhepi, in a response to KOHĖN. She considered the artists cooperative and polite, while indicating that during rehearsals they had good communication with the conductor.
"The audience really liked the combination of classical orchestral music with hip-hop and received it very well. We had a great time with Mc Kresha and Lyrical Son during the preparation of the concert... very cooperative and kind artists, and the conductor was also very positive the whole time, which made us enjoy the performance to the fullest," she added.
But what truly made this night unforgettable was the collective experience it created. “Red Bull Symphonic” brought the audience a concert that turned out to be a visual spectacle, a cultural event and an emotional celebration at the same time. For more than an hour and a half, the audience was not just a spectator, but also part of the experience.

"It was a truly unique experience and different from ordinary concerts. The atmosphere was electrifying. 'AMC Hall' offers the necessary conditions for such organizations, but I still think we need such halls closer to the city of Pristina. We are hearing hip-hop music less and less often live at Albanian concerts, so I really appreciate the dedication of the artists and the orchestra that offered such a spectacle, all live", Viktor Ahmeti shared his impressions from the audience.

More frequent organization of these events has been requested by the public, under the pretext that authentic elements are distinguished.

"My experience at 'Red Bull Symphonic' has been fantastic. The organization of the event, the performers and the orchestra have been at a superior level. A unique format with an orchestra, which should be organized and promoted more often, due to its authentic elements", Pylljon Nura told KOHËN.
This concert was a testament to the power of collaboration, when two seemingly incompatible genres, like hip-hop and classical music, meet in the right way, creating something that goes beyond music, creating history. “Red Bull Symphonic”, through the voices of MC Kreshë and Lyrical Soni, and the orchestra conducted by Dzijan Emin, made the evening in Prishtina sound different than ever before. Young people danced, while the music spoke in a language that everyone understood.
