The masterful play of the instrumentalists made the concert and the stage where they performed magnificent. "Chopin Piano Fest" has brought attention to the sounds of the piano in this year's edition as well. With the playing of the pianist Klejda Tare, the sounds of the violin of Elvin Hoxha Ganiev are wrapped. For years, they have turned the Amphitheater of the University Library into a concert hall and transformed the environment into a warm space. The wall in the front part is covered with curtains with the Festival poster in the center.

It was the violinist Elvin Hoxha Ganiev who opened the concert with "Sonata no. 2, op. 27" by the Belgian Eugene Ysaye. The dynamics have been pronounced. Playing with the fingers has made them often resemble those of the guitar. He played the parts "Obsession, Prelude", "Malinconia", "Danse des ombres, Sarabande" and "Les furies" of this work.

After playing the last notes in the work, Klejda Tare joined him on stage to accompany him with piano sounds in the "Sonata in G minor, L.140" by the French Claude Debussy. The work seems to float in the world of sounds that come with unpredictable tension. From this, they quickly return to a calm state and create a harmonious atmosphere. It was also an emotional interpretation with constant sounds that go up and down. The series is repeated over and over again and finds its dynamism again with a string pull on the violin, returning the flow of the work to its previous state.

With "Theme et variations" of the French composer, Olivier Messiaen, the harmony of the duo on stage is emphasized even more. It was an absolute combination of violin and piano. The work begins simply before entering complex rhythms. They differ in dynamics and tones. It has been quite challenging, but also exciting and varied. When the two instruments have reached their climax, the rhythm is accompanied by a decrease and again bursts out with the piano and the violin in the center.

Performed in several parts, "Sonata No. 1, in F-minor, op. 80" by the Russian Sergei Prokofiev seems to have taken the audience on a journey in a foggy and haunted landscape. Sometimes it resembles a traditional dance that changes after each break point. Interpreted in "andante assai", the sounds have often been out of tune and out of rhythm, as a tendency to break away from the flow of the work. But then, the two instruments are joined by playing fast and in the same rhythm.

The Albanian pianist, Klejda Tare, has estimated that this work was challenging to perform.

"The program was a collaboration between the two. It was a bit special as it included works from the XNUMXth century and beyond. They are composers, especially Messian, who are rarely played due to the technical difficulties of the instruments that play his works. Even Prokofiev's sonata is one of the most difficult sonatas for violin and piano," she said.

According to Tara, the program was diverse and colorful. For him, it was the second time he performed together with the violinist Ganiev, as well as the return for the second time in the Amphitheater hall of the University Library. "Every time I come to Pristina, there are special emotions at each concert. This time it was a very special invitation from the Festival. I believe that it is one of the most important festivals, not only in Kosovo and the Albanian territories, but also in the region. I think that all the participants are honored to take part in it and that the level of the festival is really to be admired by the instrumentalists who participate", said the pianist from Korça, Klejda Tare. She graduated from the Academy of Arts in Tirana. Besides being a pianist, she also teaches at the University of Arts in Tirana.

For the Albanian-Turkish violinist Elvin Hoxha Ganiev, it was the second time he performed on the Kosovo stage, after the one with the Kosovo Philharmonic Orchestra years ago. He said that he appreciates the "Chopin Fest" invitation. "This is the second time here, but since the first time I have liked the atmosphere and the audience. People are very kind and interested, so it is always a pleasure to play for the public in Kosovo, he said.

For the violinist who has performed as a soloist in orchestras with many great conductors around the world, the chosen repertoire was also special. "We wanted to play more of the program from the XNUMXth century with many colors. We have tried to choose from those who have been played less often here, so they chose Prokofiev, Messiaen. We wanted to bring something more interesting and different", said the violinist. Elvin Hoxha Ganiev's repertoire includes virtuoso pieces for solo violin and concertos for violin and orchestra and sonatas for violin and piano.

In "allegro brusco" he started with melancholic sounds of violin and piano. A powerful pull of the stick on the violin strings also enlivens the piano which follows the sounds of the other instrument and the latter directs it. The playing becomes more intense on the piano with rougher and more sensitive violin sounds. The work continued with the sudden sounds drawn with the fingers which started the interpretation in "andante". The piano has continued with uniform sounds, but with those of the violin, it is constantly trying to get out of the rhythm and return to the line with the piano sounds.

In "allegrissimo - andante assai, come prima" he started with short and dynamic sounds. The two instruments follow each other, changing positions frequently. The piece is very aesthetic with a constant rhythm and sometimes with the violin in the lead. For the masterful interpretation, the audience applauded for a long time, for which the duo returned to the stage to perform once again a part of the last work.

The artistic director of the Festival, Lejla Pula, appreciated the interpretation of the duo Tare and Ganiev, expressing her happiness that they were present on the stage of "Chopin Fest". "They brought a wonderful performance with so many colors, with so much virtuosity, with peak artistic and musical collaboration. I am really very happy, not only for the general audience, but also for our students who had the opportunity to enjoy another performance. Truly an extraordinary talent that will continue to develop on a global scale", said Professor Pula after the concert.

It was a night that I have rarely experienced, as the works for violin and piano are very serious and very demanding. Everyone was following him in one breath. The violinist and the pianist were very harmonized and coordinated", said Luzha.

On the third night of the international classical music festival "Chopin Piano Fest" the Balkan sixtet "Pro Arte" will perform.
