Painting is life itself for Gazmend Freitag, the painter who brings vitality and life through his brush. Nature and nude are two genres that have taken a significant place in the artist's gallery. This artistic approach characterizes his artistic world. However, it should be noted that his nude paintings are professional and his love for them has led him to even attend studies at the University of Art in Linz.
When we talk about his creativity, here we can never overlook the graphic portraits made with inspiration and love for well-known national personalities such as: Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu, Saint Teraza, Ismail Kadare, Ali Podrimja and others.
The Albanian artist Freitag, who lives in Austria, through his painting shows his love for the Albanian man, the image of our country, for the important Albanian personalities, he simply shows his hometown in full life and vitality thus proving that love for the hometown is an irreplaceable one and has a special place within it.
Recently, the artist was part of the "Austria Biennale" in Vienna with two oil exhibits. Authors from different countries living in Austria participated in this exhibition.
"My participation with two oil exhibits at the "Austria Biennale" in Vienna was very important for my work. It is a privilege to be presented with other international artists in an exhibition with an international character. The selection of these paintings was done by me, exhibiting a still life and a nude, these two genres that I prefer extremely much", said the artist Freitag.
Freitag also told KultPlus about his love for nude paintings.
"I was intensively involved in the nude genre in 2013/14, so much so that I even attended studies at the University of Art in Linz. It was a beautiful experience. The numerous paintings and graphics of this type, partially published, I make mainly with live models".
Gazmend Freitag's paintings have been exhibited in many cities in Austria, Italy, Slovakia, but not in his homeland, but the artist has always dreamed of such a thing and is now working in this direction.
"In the future, there is a very nice plan to open a personal exhibition in Tirana, a dream of mine, but it is not yet definitive. As soon as it is concretely decided, of course I will inform the readers of KultPlus about this innovation", said Gazmend Freitag.
