Fatlume Bunjaku heading to the "Berlinale" as "Shooting Star 2026"

The European professional jury of the organization “European Film Promotion” has recognized ten artists as an extraordinary group of talents, while specifically the actress from Kosovo, Fatlume Bunjaku, has appreciated her role in the film “Hana” directed by Ujkan Hysaj. The ticket for this recognition was given by the National Center of Cinematography of Albania. The ten winners will be presented to the film industry, the international press and the public during the 76th edition of the International Film Festival in Berlin

Among the ten most promising actors in Europe, Fatlume Bunjaku has been selected as “Shooting Star 2026”. The ten winners will be presented to the film industry, the international press and the public during the 76th Berlin International Film Festival. The Berlinale will take place from 12 to 22 February. The four-day program of the prestigious event dedicated to actors under the title “Shooting Star” includes networking sessions, industry meetings and press events, as well as an unforgettable moment on the red carpet and a group welcome at the ‘Berlinale Palast’. According to the announcement, the program is designed to increase their international visibility, connect them with key decision-makers and highlight their potential in the development phase of their careers.

"European Film Promotion" has also published a statement from the organization's director, Tina Hajon. She assesses that the selected ten are an extraordinary group of talents.

"They represent some of the most exciting young voices that Europe has to offer. We are deeply grateful to the jury for their dedication and for recognizing the potential of these actors at such an important moment in their artistic journey. 'European Shooting Stars' remains an essential platform to highlight the diversity of the European narrative, giving emerging talents the international visibility they need to grow and flourish on a global stage," she is quoted as saying.

In addition to actress Fatlume Bunjaku, the title of "European Shooting Star 2026" has also been awarded to Lucas Englander from Austria, Violet Braeckman from Belgium, Salif Cissé from France, Enno Trebs from Germany, Danielle Galligan from Ireland, Tecla Insolia from Italy, Joes Brauers from the Netherlands, Sofia Tjelta Sydness from Norway and Cleo Diára from Portugal.

The title "European Shooting Star" is considered an important springboard for the international career of the actor to whom it is given. KOHA has communicated with Bunjaku several times during Monday, but after expressing her willingness to talk about this news, she has not given any comment.
