Two years after the inauguration "Ulpiana" in the same condition

Ulpiana, November 20 - Dejan Dimitrijevic, shortly before the end of his working hours, used the time to load some young seedlings into his car in his field next to the "Ulpiana" archaeological park. He is one of six people engaged to take care of the most famous archaeological site in Kosovo. At the end of September, the state did not pay him his salary. Together with his colleagues, he did not receive a salary even at the end of October. And on November 16, a salary was executed. "Ministry catastrophe valla", is the comment of Dimitrijevic who seems to know, but is too lazy to speak Albanian.

A part of the archaeological site was declared a Park two years ago, exactly on October 26, 2016. Since then, nothing has changed regarding the management of "Ulpiana".

Bajram Vitija was at the Archaeological Institute of Kosovo on Tuesday. He took six work contracts with him. They are one-month contracts. For two years now, those engaged have been paid by the project for excavations in this locality. The park is left without regular staff. Gas is the substance with which the rangers are heated through a three-liter bottle in the cabin at the entrance of the Park. The cabin has no electricity. A battery serves as a tool that they charge at home to use when they need light. In case of spending it at night, the candle is the "solution".

The entire Park, about three hectares, has no lighting. Nothing can be seen at night. The brackets are missing. Employees say that there are about 20 dogs that bring garbage, among others, animal bones to these spaces. All must be cleaned daily. For two years now, no positive step has been taken for the Park, although since January it has been visited by 30 visitors. Only in October there were 6 thousand.
