This year's edition of DokuFest will be online due to the pandemic.
The 19th edition of DokuFest will be open from August 7 to 25, with film programs, panels, masterclasses, collaborative workshops as well as online music performances, it was announced on the festival's official website.
"To bring the festival online, we have partnered with Festival Scope and Shift72 to ensure the best online streaming experience and ensure our programming is accessible to local and regional audiences. Inspired by the British post-punk band Joy Division and one of their iconic songs, this year's theme TRANSMISSION will in many ways highlight the TRANSITION we are experiencing as a society as we realize that the world and everything that we know about it is TRANSFORMING very quickly. So this year, we invite you to be part of an experiment where the content of the festival will be transmitted digitally and will be expanded beyond the cinemas and usual spaces of the city of Prizren. Thus, we hope to transform ourselves personally and collectively through new ways of thinking, working and sharing," DokuFest wrote.
