The music that can be heard in the lobby of the Theater is an indication that work has begun in the rehearsal room of the National Ballet of Kosovo.
The dancers have returned to practice after almost three months. But now they are forced to stay at a distance because of the pandemic. Divided into groups of eight, they must make physical preparations. Keeping distance is mandatory. This, an unusual situation for them. Duo points are not allowed either.
Soloist Sinan Kajtazi says he doesn't know how they could hold rehearsals and prepare shows while playing at a distance.
According to him, daily exercises are the basis of ballet and should work even at a distance, reports KOHA.
Soloist Fatmir Smani, who led the exercises for a group, says that it never occurred to him that they would work remotely.

In advance, the management of the Trade Union Association of the institution have complained that they still do not have a clear idea of how to act. According to them, meeting and exercising in the hall are dangerous for the specifics of the work they do.
Soloist Besnik Grajčevci says that they have dancers and instrumentalists from different regions and are not equipped with protective measures. They also requested testing of the Ensemble members.
The general director of "Shota", Shefqet Gjocaj, directed the demands of the Trade Union Association to the Ministry of Culture. Gjocaj has requested that, among others, a medical expert give clarifications to the employees on how to carry out the exercises.
