"Idealists are speechless at the moment", said Arzana Kraja in June of this year, while talking about the film. Her voice was cinematography. And through this genre of art she will continue to be heard. Kraja, born on January 2, 1981, was found dead on Wednesday morning in her apartment, in the "Kalabria" neighborhood, in Pristina. Her friends and professional colleagues have rated her as special in work and life, writes "Koha Ditore" today.
Kraja was a film and television director. He completed his studies at the Department of Directing at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pristina. She was a director, assistant director and producer in several television and local productions. She was one of the founders and head of the film department at the international student film and theater festival, "Scene UP", from 2002 to 2007.
Kraja is the author of eight short films, among them "Clock Tower", "Skurta", and three documentary films, among them, "Through My Eyes" and "My Kosova". In July of this year, her debut feature film, "Field of thrushes", was premiered at the international film festival "PriFilmFest" in Pristina. Together with Shkumbin Istrefi, they were directors of the series "Our Cafe".
Her death has been described as a great loss for Kosovo's cinematography. The director and university professor of film direction, Isa Qosja, has known Kraja as a student and colleague. While talking about her, Qosja said that Kraja was really an exemplary student with motivating behavior to teach them. According to him, she was disciplined and considerate.

"She was also very dedicated as a director. All students have a commitment, but this has had special and specific requirements in directing. I think we have lost a very promising director and an extraordinary person", said Qosja. About her film "Shkurta", she said that it is a film with extraordinary values and beautiful symbolism.
Actor and producer Shkumbin Istrefi is one of Kraja's close collaborators. In her film "Field of thrushes" he plays the main role, that of Syla. It is the portrait of an ardent idealist for Kosovo during the 80s and 90s, who after the war found himself in Great Britain, very disappointed with his former friends as they were extorting the country.
"It is a great loss for Kosovar cinematography and for the artistic community", said Istrefi.
"From our collaboration in the series and film, I think she was one of the best young directors we have today", he said.
Regarding her training as an artist, playwright Visar Krusha said that Kraja was a person with rich culture and very well informed about the world around her and very responsible for it, which, according to him, is also seen in her work as a director.
The Director of the Cinematographic Center of Kosovo, Arben Zharku, has described Kraja as an intelligent artist with special sense in handling cinematographic works.
As a sign of respect to the Kraja family and the artistic community, on the occasion of the death of Arzana Kraja, the National Theater of Kosovo has announced that on Wednesday night it has canceled the rerun of the show "Marie Gjon's Last Show". During Wednesday, several condolence telegrams were sent to the address of the Kraja family. State leaders have reacted in different ways.

The family has announced that Kraja's burial will take place today (Thursday), at 14:00 p.m., in the city cemetery, in Pristina.
