Already transformed into a traditional one, the annual exhibition of the Association of Visual Artists of Kosovo is not only an exhibition of the works of its members. Fatmir Krypa, Faik Krasniqi and Adem Rusinovci have received the three awards, while the exhibition also serves as an introduction to current trends in visual arts.
The Gallery of the Faculty of Arts reflects the inspiring work and artistic dedication of the painters. Works have been brought together which intertwine in rare harmony, a landscape of emotions and reflections. Each with a distinct identity and a silent voice that makes visitors immerse themselves in the depth of the thoughts and feelings they evoke.
It is the annual exhibition of the members of the Association of Visual Artists of Kosovo, now transformed into a traditional one. On Tuesday night, the sixth edition opened. The awards are a kind of culmination of the vernissage, but the Association has another mission: it unites artists, reveals achievements in the visual arts, maintains contact with the public.
Fatmir Krypa, Faik Krasniqi and Adem Rusinovci have received the three awards of this edition.
The entire exhibition is a symphony of colors and compositions, the sculptures gave material form to ideas and feelings that often remain unexpressed.
Kamuran Goranci, president of the Association of Visual Artists of Kosovo, in his opening speech, first greeted the representatives of the embassies of Slovenia and Montenegro and everyone who had come, singling out the participating artists who bring new windows every year of collaboration through colors and contemporary art.

Artists join in unfolding current trends
"This is the sixth edition of the exhibition of the members of the Association of Visual Artists of Kosovo. Here we are not only participants, but also part of contemporary creations. It is good to understand that the Association belongs to Kosovo and not to individuals, leaving the language for works and art to speak as they know how," said Goranci.
The well-known graphic artist Fatmir Krypa has shared the experiences and emotions that have accompanied him in the artistic activities organized recently, including a personal exhibition and participation in a smaller exhibition in honor of November 28.
"The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo has asked me to have a personal exhibition on the occasion of November 28. I respected it and very successfully presented 30 works with interest and consideration, fulfilling my expectations", said Krypa.
At the Association's exhibition, Krypa has presented the graphics from his cycle "The Abandoned Chame Tower", which carries a special emotion for him. Through it, it expresses national motives. It was inspired by an experience of an old woman, who had returned to Çameri and had kissed the foundations of the house. Krypa has emphasized that his works often have a documentary character, reflecting Albanian life and tradition.
"My works are always documentaries from the life we have developed and are developing in Kosovo and from our tradition", he said. The outstanding graphic artist, one of the pioneers of academic art in these parts, had messages and remarks for the new generation.
"The new generations are not paying attention to what we have taught them and are not practicing it. This worries me, because cultural heritage is what introduces us to the outside world. Also my achievements in the international arena, which I have to mention the participation and success in the Biennale of Graphics in China, where two of my graphics were bought and today are part of a world-renowned museum. But why shouldn't someone else do it too", he said. Even as a prize winner, he concluded his speech with a statement. "Our culture presents us not only among art lovers, but also in the international arena," he said.

In the eddies of endurance and autochthony
Faik Krasniqi received an award with the work "White Roofs". He elaborates the theme of winter in his art and the work harmonizes with this period.
"I have traditionally participated in these exhibitions and honestly, I have not thought about the price. Thank you for the evaluation by the jury, which has decided to include me among the three winners", said Krasniqi, evaluating the high level of other works in the exhibition. He said about his work that "the main motif is winter, a fragment from this magical season". The white roofs are embodied there, the atmosphere of the end of the year holidays such as Christmas and New Year are embodied in this work".
"Winter carries a special poetry, which inspires artists through the feeling of purity and celebration", said Krasniqi, underlining that his love for winter motifs is related to the opportunity to capture the visual harmony and feelings that this season awakens in people's hearts. . "Winter in art has a unique language - it is silent, but full of life", he said.
The work from the cycle "Transition" by Adem Rusinovci, also a winner, is special. It comes in a combined technique and its message is a reflection of Kosovo's society. The technique gives the impression that it is a kind of three-dimensional painting and the women are in focus, giving a lot of meaning to the work.
Among other things, an acknowledgment was also given to the Ministry of Culture as a sign of support for this activity.

Valbona Rexhepi, together with the art historian Fejaz Drançolli and Yllka Fetahajn, were members of the jury. "We have tried to choose the best works that we think have value and I believe that the public also thinks the same as us, because we have to learn that the reward is given for the value and not for the individual", she said.
The exhibition, as explained by the Association of Visual Artists of Kosovo - a non-governmental, non-profit and professional organization - brings works starting from the spirit of the real introduction, expressive, surreal, abstract, up to the most current trends of conceptual art.
