Archaeologists still do not have concrete data on the findings of the case near Kaçanik, which were encountered in mid-July during the expansion of the road.
Excavations for the research of the space, which does not enjoy legal protection and is not listed as a cultural heritage asset, were warned that it would take place two weeks after the find. But while a month and a half has passed, they still haven't started, writes "Koha Ditore" today.
Due to the high temperatures, the Archaeological Institute of Kosovo has not yet sent a team to do research that would result in concrete data for the three parallel pits with a baked brick structure, which are 60 centimeters wide.
They were found in the Kotlina village of Kaçanik and their surface area was considered too small to serve as an identification sample. For this reason, archaeological excavations were also announced and the road works in that part were stopped. But until now, the only work that has been done there is the isolation of the space where this structure was encountered.
