Osmani encourages the institutions to cooperate with the allies on the dinar issue

In marking the Day of the President of America in Kosovo, President Vjosa Osmani has asked the institutions to cooperate with the USA regarding the Regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo on the dinar issue. She spoke about the relations with this ally, saying that the friendship between the two countries is a deep-rooted testament. And the American ambassador, Jeffery Hovenier, said that the ties of the USA with the people of Kosovo date back to President Bill Clinton.

President Vjosa Osmani has asked the institutions to cooperate with the United States of America regarding the Regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo. Osmani has called for the transition plan for the implementation of the Regulation related to the circulation of cash to have the agreement of the international community as well. She emphasized that the discussions on a transition plan regarding the Regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo are continuing.

Regarding the criticism of the US ambassador in Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, regarding the CBK Regulation, Osmani said that the allies are not asking for the dinar to be kept, but for an implementation plan to be made, for which he asked the institutions to cooperate as much as possible. much with the USA.

"The issue is not about the dinar, neither the US nor our other allies are asking us to keep the dinar, and there should not be an impression that someone is asking us not to respect our Constitution, because it is not really. So, we have a complete understanding and common goal with our allies, in particular with the USA, that our Constitution is fully respected. All that is being discussed is a transition plan for the implementation of the CBK Regulation. So, that has nothing to do with the work of CBK", she said.

According to her, the Regulation remains what it is, no one is asking for it to change, which falls in the domain of CBK.

"The institutions that implement it, the law-enforcement institutions, as for any other decision, build an implementation plan. Even in this case, the discussions are still continuing, each will be a transitional implementation plan which will take into account everyone's concerns", said Osmani.

Osmani has said that as the president of the country, he has constantly encouraged all institutions to maximize cooperation with allies.

"Like every other time, cooperation with our allies never leads Kosovo on the wrong path. Thus, as the president of the country, I constantly encourage all institutions to have maximum cooperation, because whenever we act united, we are much stronger and I ask for the same now. I am convinced that we are on the right path so that this transition plan will be reached with everyone's agreement very soon and we will be effective as a whole, but also with our allies in the full implementation of our Constitution in every corner of the country", she said. she emphasized.

A few days ago, the US ambassador, Jeffery Hovenier, stated that the dinar issue has damaged relations with the Government of Kosovo, denying Prime Minister Kurti's statements about good relations.

And on Independence Day, President Vjosa Osmani spoke about the relations between the two countries, saying that friendship is a deep-rooted testament.

"President Biden's support is a true testament to the deep bonds of friendship that have long defined our partnership. "He not only understands our aspirations for freedom and democracy, he stands side by side with us in our constant effort to strengthen these ideals," she said.

The American ambassador, Jeffery Hovenier, said that the ties of the USA with the people of Kosovo date back to President Clinton.

"I am proud to join my counterparts around the world and pay tribute to the office of the president of the United States of America, and to recognize the strong bond of the USA with the people of Kosovo as embodied so clearly by this statue of President Clinton" , he said.

Recently, Kosovo has been faced with criticism and warnings for the possible breakdown of relations with the USA due to the rejection of the request to postpone the implementation of the CBK Regulation, which does not allow any currency other than the euro to be used as means of payment.
