Kosovo Customs has announced that in a customs control operation, it stopped a kilogram of undeclared gold with a purity of 14 carats.
The Customs announcement states that during the passenger check, scanner images showed indications of undeclared goods inside a bag.
“After opening the bag, the hidden goods were discovered along with the relevant documentation accompanying the goods. After a detailed assessment by Kosovo Customs, it was found that the real value of the prohibited gold is 59,294.12 euros. the announcement states.
The case is said to be being handled in close cooperation with the Kosovo Customs investigation department and the State Prosecutor, to analyze all the details and to take the appropriate legal actions against the responsible individuals.
