Ervis Martinaj disappears, family members say they have lost contact with him

The family members of Ervis Martinaj, one of the most wanted of the State Police and Special Structure (SPAK) in Albania, reported his disappearance to the Tirana police on Thursday. They say they have lost contact with him for several days.

Martinaj was declared wanted by SPAK after the testimony of the repentant justice, Nuredin Duman, as he is accused of having offered up to 500 thousand euros for the execution of Endri Dokles, number two of the Durrës Gang.

Meanwhile, the police suspect that he has been out of Albania illegally for several months.

According to Euronews, the Police have informed that the denunciation will be evaluated, but on the other hand, there are doubts that it could also be staged.

The family members' denunciation comes about a month after the assassination attempt in Fushë-Kruje where 3 people were killed, one of them Ervis's cousin, Brilant Martinaj.

During the last three years, many relatives of Ervis Martinaj were executed in mafia assassinations.
