A driver has been fined around 4.000 euros after being caught driving at a speed of 212 kilometers per hour on the Milot-Laç road axis.

According to the State Police, the violation was observed at the peak of traffic flow, while the driver, with his speed, created a potential risk of serious road accidents.

"The Traffic Police intervened immediately, stopped the driver of the vehicle and, in addition to the fine, deducted 12 points from his driving license," the announcement states.

Albanian authorities announced that checks with Poliscan smart devices will continue on national road axes to identify and punish drivers who exceed speed limits.
