One person has died in a car accident in the village of Meqë, Gjakova.
The Information Officer at the Gjakova Police, Vlera Krasniqi, has reported that a truck driver lost control and after rolling over was trapped under the vehicle. After the intervention of the relevant units to extract him, the responsible doctor has determined the death of the victim.
"Today, at around 09:55, we received information about an incident in the village of Meqë. According to initial investigations, it is suspected that during the work process, the driver of a transport vehicle (truck) lost control of the vehicle, causing the truck to skid. As a result of this movement, a worker (adult male) who was near the vehicle was trapped under it. The relevant police units, the fire brigade and the ambulance immediately arrived at the scene. After the intervention, the responsible doctor determined that the person trapped under the vehicle had passed away," Krasniqi's response states.
Regarding the case, it has been announced that all necessary steps are being taken by the Police to clarify the circumstances of this event.

"By decision of the prosecutor, regarding today's incident, the suspect, after being interviewed by the Regional Investigation Unit, has been detained for 48 hours," said the Information Officer at the Gjakova Police, Vlera Krasniqi.
The victim, according to the Police, was injured during the work process, while the suspect was arrested for causing general danger.
"By decision of the prosecutor, regarding the case of today's incident, the suspect, after being interviewed by the Regional Investigation Unit, was charged with "Causing general danger" and was detained for 48 hours," Krasniqi stated.
