A 16-year-old boy died on Wednesday in Leposavic, after allegedly being run over by a tractor in the village of Zemanic.
Police have classified the case as a suspicious death.
"On 10.09.2025, at around 11:00, the Police in Leposaviq received information from the Main Family Medicine Center that a person in the village of Leposaviq had been run over by a tractor and was suspected of being lifeless. Police units immediately went to the scene, while medical staff determined the victim's death at the scene. The victim was identified as DP, 16 years old," the Police statement said.
The announcement states that according to witness statements, the minor was pulling an oak tree with a tractor and then rolled over with it.
"The State Prosecutor has been notified of the case, who has ordered the initiation of the case as 'Suspicious Death', while by order of the prosecutor, the victim's body has been handed over to the family," the announcement states.
