He tried to bribe the policemen with 5 euros, the Serb was arrested in Prizren

A Serbian citizen was arrested by the Police in Prizren, after trying to bribe the police with 5 euros.

According to the police, when he was stopped while he was driving the truck at a higher speed than was allowed, he offered the policemen 5 euros along with the documents.

"On 16.01.2023, around 16:30 p.m., a police patrol of the Road Traffic Regulation Unit, Regional Police Directorate in Prizren, in the village of Piranë in Prizren, stopped a truck with Serbian plates for speeding. The truck driver I.V., born in 1983 in Krushevac - Serbia, a Serbian citizen, after being stopped by the police patrol and asked for his documents, together with the documents, he also gives a banknote of five (5) euros", says the Police announcement.

After that he is said to have been handcuffed by the police and taken to the police station in Prizren.

"After the interview in the presence of the defense lawyer, by order of the Custodial Prosecutor, the same was given the decision to detain him for 48 hours. A criminal complaint has been sent against the same person for the criminal offense of 'Giving a bribe', Article 422 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo", the announcement states.
