At the Basic Court in Pristina, this Friday, due to high temperatures in the courtroom, the hearing against the 6 defendants in the explosion at the "Sekiraqa" bar, where two people were left dead, was canceled.
In this case, BM, LQ, BS, FS, AD and MM are accused of having planted and detonated an explosive device on September 24, 2007, in complicity with BH, SQ and with the assistance of AD, in the premises of the “Sekiraqa” bar, on “Bill Clinton” Boulevard in Prishtina. As a result of this explosion, NM and PS lost their lives and several other people were injured, reported Betimi për Drejtësi.

Letter to the Reader — Why We're Asking for Your Support ContributeThe cancellation of the session was announced by the office of the presiding judge, Judge Alban Ajvazi, who stated that the panel assessed that due to high temperatures in the courtroom and the decision of the Kosovo Judicial Council to limit working hours, today's session was canceled.
The indictment was filed by the Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo on August 22, 2014, specifically by EULEX prosecutor Maria Bamieh.
In the first count, the accused are charged with having deprived NM and PS of their lives on September 24, 2007, out of unscrupulous revenge or other base motives, and by intentionally endangering the lives of one or more persons.
According to the indictment, this happened by placing and detonating an improvised explosive device on the ground floor of the "Sekiraqa" bar, on "Bill Clinton" Boulevard in Pristina.
They are hereby accused of having committed the criminal offense of "Aggravated Murder" in violation of Articles 23 and 147, par. 4, 9 and 11 of the Criminal Code of Kosovo.
It states that after a long history of violence between the police in Ferizaj, the ROSU Unit officers and Enver Sekiraqa, and after the murder of police officer Triumf Riza, a murder which the indictment states was “believed to have been ordered by Enver Sekiraqa”, the Ferizaj Police together with the ROSU Unit officers planned revenge against Sekiraqa by blowing up his bar in Prishtina with a bomb. The bar was reportedly located in a populated residential area, which was full of bars and restaurants. The bomb was reportedly planted during the month of Ramadan on September 24, 2007, when the bars were open for people to perform suhoor. The size of the bomb, the location of its planting and the time of the explosion are said to indicate that the defendants intended to kill.
They are also charged with attempted murder and causing general danger.
