Sweden after weapons confiscation in North Mitrovica: There is no longer a haven for criminals

Acting Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla has said that there is no longer any refuge for criminals or other elements that threaten the country's security, following the confiscation of several weapons that were found in a basement in the center of North Mitrovica on Saturday.

Sveçla stated that they remain committed to law and order.

"No part of the territory of our Republic is any longer a haven for criminals, weapons or other elements that threaten the security of our country. In the center of North Mitrovica, in the basement of a collective building, two weapons, ammunition of various types, magazines, gas masks and handcuffs were found today. We remain committed to law and order, security and stability for our citizens and for our Republic," the acting minister wrote.

Kosovo Police on Saturday confiscated an automatic rifle, a shotgun, 50 rounds of ammunition, a rifle buttstock, a pair of handcuffs, a rifle holder, a gas mask with its bag, a gun holster, and 5 empty magazines in a basement near "Car Lazar" Square in North Mitrovica.
