Three Gjakova policemen have been suspended because they allegedly committed the criminal offense of 'Misuse of duty or official authority' in the case of the murder of Valbona Nrecaj and her daughter.
The prosecutor's office in Gjakovë has confirmed for KTV that the two policemen NP and PP had exceeded their authorizations when in June of this year they went together with the murder suspect, Pjetër Nrecaj, and took the children from their mother to leave them father in care.

On August 13 of this year, KTV reported exactly how the suspect for the double murder of his wife and daughter, Pjetër Nrecaj, had managed to take the children into custody without a court decision, only with the mediation of the police .
The late Valbona Nrecaj had requested the help of the Center for Social Work to see her children, but since she had requested a divorce, her husband had forbidden the mother to see the children.
Within about a month, the Police Inspectorate has made two conflicting decisions regarding this double murder.
In the announcement issued on August 16 of this year, the Inspectorate said that it had not found any illegal action in the handling of this case.
While on Wednesday, in the evening hours, he announced that three police officers should be suspended as suspects for abuse of official authority.
The KTV has requested clarifications from the IPK regarding the two contradictory decisions issued within a month, but this inspectorate has not provided clarifications.
It has only confirmed that investigations are continuing for several other officials involved in this case.
In defense of the police officers, a month ago, the director of the police in Gjakovë, Ahmet Hasi, came forward. He had come to Pristina to explain the policemen's actions.
After the suspension, the directorate in Gjakova had no comment.
