Over 11 thousand euros and 79 thousand Serbian dinars found in possession of Serbian driver in Brnjak

Over 11 euros and 79 Serbian dinars were found on a Serbian citizen during a stop at the border crossing in Brnjak.

Police announced that the suspect, who was driving a vehicle with Serbian license plates, was stopped for a search on Sunday at around 12:55.

"On 27.04.2025, at around 12:55 at the border crossing in Brnjak at the entrance to the Republic of Kosovo, border police officers, in cooperation with customs officers, carried out a joint check, during which, during the check in a vehicle with Serbian license plates and a driver who is a citizen of Serbia, 11.300 euros in banknotes and 79.780 Serbian dinars in banknotes (around 678 euros according to the official exchange rate) were found undeclared," the announcement states.

The case is being handled in further proceedings for customs violations by Kosovo Customs.
