The Police Inspectorate of Kosovo has recommended the suspension of three police officers as they allegedly mistreated a EULEX security officer during the arrest and escort after an incident related to the parking of a private car.
According to the Inspectorate, the EULEX employee was in charge of securing the EULEX car park.
The PIK said that they were informed about this case on Thursday morning, while the police officials are being suspected of ill-treatment during the exercise of their official duties or public authorizations.
"Based on the investigative actions that have been undertaken so far, it is suspected that police officials have arrested and escorted a citizen (a security officer for the EULEX Mission) after an incident related to the parking of a private car (which was driven by a police officer) in front of the EULEX Mission parking lot near the 'Fadil Vokrri' football stadium in Pristina. The local security employee of the EULEX Mission was on duty to secure the EULEX car park at the time the incident occurred. Upon receiving the information, IPK investigators went to the scene and undertook some initial investigative actions in constant consultation with the competent prosecutor, who also went to the scene", says the press release of the IPK to the media. .
The IPK said that they will take other actions for the complete clarification of this incident.
