Police seize weapons in the Mitrovica region

In the last 24 hours, police in the South Mitrovica region have confiscated two weapons in two separate cases. 

In the first case, the arrest of the suspect for illegal possession of weapons was carried out in Vushtrri, as a result of an investigation after the suspect was involved in a case of intimidation, in which case, during a detailed search, a pistol with nine bullets and a knife were found and confiscated in the suspect's possession. 

After being interviewed by the competent prosecutor, the suspect was placed in police custody. A case was initiated against him for the offenses of "Threat" and "Unauthorized possession, ownership, or control of a weapon."

In the second case in Mitrovica, police confiscated a pistol and a knife, after the suspect had posted them on social media weeks earlier. The suspect was taken in for questioning and then released under normal procedure. 

A case has been initiated against him for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession, ownership, and control of a weapon".
