(Updated 13:00) - Five people who suffered a traffic accident on Friday night in the village of Slivove, Ferizaj, after colliding with a bus were part of the election staff, engaged in the conclusion of the local election process on October 12.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has confirmed that the injured are members of the Municipal Election Commission in Ferizaj and that the accident occurred at around 18:17, while they were performing their official duties.
According to the CEC announcement, the health condition of four of them is serious, and they are currently being treated at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK). The institution has announced that for further details regarding their health, the relevant medical authorities should be contacted.
The CEC has expressed concern and regret over the incident, praying for the speedy recovery of the injured officials.
"The five officials were highly committed to completing the electoral process in the municipality of Ferizaj. Our thoughts and support are with the members of the MEC and their families," the CEC's response states.
Car and bus collide in Slivove, four injured taken to UCCK

The driver of the car and four passengers were injured. Four injured people were taken to UCCK by the Ferizaj Emergency Department.
"On 17.10.2025 at 18:17 on the main road, the village of Slivove-Ferizaj, a traffic accident with bodily injuries occurred, where two vehicles were involved in this traffic accident: a car and a bus with local license plates with drivers M.SH.K. In addition to material damage, the driver of the car and four passengers suffered bodily injuries, and after medical treatment in the Ferizaj emergency room, four people were sent to the UCCK-Pristina for further medical treatment," the Police announced.
Meanwhile, Blerton Jakupi from the LDK in Ferizaj said that the five injured are members of the Municipal Election Commission. On Facebook on Saturday, he wrote that one of the injured is in a coma.
