The Directorate of Anti-Terrorism of the State Police in Albania has arrested 25-year-old Xhuljana Aliaj, born and resident in Durrës, in the act, suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Spreading false information that incites panic".
According to the police, during the monitoring of social networks, it was established that Xhuljana Aliaj posted from her profile on the social network "Facebook" articles with false and untrue content, thereby spreading panic through the effects of these news.
The Directorate of Anti-Terror in cooperation with other specialized structures in the State Police have also identified other cases for which, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Offices of the respective districts, they are continuing with the criminal proceedings and for each case the media and the public will be informed.
The State Police has once again appealed to all citizens not to fall prey to news frauds that are distributed on social networks, which create panic and invites anyone who comes across such panic notifications to immediately notify the State Police at the number 112. or at the Digital Commissariat.
