The Basic Court in Gjilan announced a conviction against the two accused KR and BM, sentencing them to six (6) years of imprisonment and a fine of 5.000 Euros, it was announced through a press release.
"The accused on 29.10.2019, around 02:00 a.m. at the "Veda Petrol" gas station, in the village of Pasjan, Municipality of Partesh, in deliberate cooperation, with the aim of illegal financial gain, armed and disguised, have committed a robbery at gunpoint, first they physically attacked the workers, and then they took the amount of 500 Euros and ran away from the scene", the communiqué states.
It is further said that on 09.11.2018, at around 19:20 p.m., in the "Lili" pharmacy of the village of Pasjan, the masked defendants tried to commit a robbery, but after the screams of the worker, the defendants fled the place of the event.
"With these actions, the defendants have committed the criminal offenses of "robbery in collaboration" and "robbery in collaboration remaining in the attempt" offenses sanctioned by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK). The jury, after examining all the documents of the case and hearing the witnesses, issued a guilty verdict, for two provisions of the indictment, it imposed a unique sentence of 6 years imprisonment and a 5000 Euro fine, for each accused", the communiqué states.
The court has issued a ruling against the accused, where the measure of detention is continued until the full force of the verdict.
The parties have the right to appeal this decision to the Court of Appeal
