Kosovo Police have announced that they have prevented a case of smuggling of goods, where 138 pairs of sports sneakers, suspected of being smuggled, were discovered in a vehicle with local license plates, on the Gjilan-Ferizaj highway.
"During the inspection of the vehicle, suspected smuggled goods such as 138 pairs of sports sneakers were found. By order of the State Prosecutor, the case has been classified as a customs offense," the Prosecutor's Office's 24-hour report states.
The vehicle was reportedly driven by a Kosovar.
The suspect was reportedly released in a regular procedure, while the vehicle and goods were deposited at the customs terminal.
