The Basic Court in Gjakova has approved the request of the Basic Prosecution Office of Gjakova, ordering a 30-day detention measure against the defendant GG, who is suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Threat", "Light bodily injury" and "Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons".
According to the indictment, the incident occurred on February 26, 2025 on "Isa Grezda" street in Gjakova, where the defendant, in his home, using a firearm and a knife, threatened and exercised physical violence against his wife, EG, and the injured party IH. He is suspected of keeping them isolated for several hours at gunpoint.
The defendant also caused bodily harm to his wife by stabbing her.
The police have seized the weapon and ammunition found in his possession, which he is suspected of possessing without authorization.
The victims have been sent for medical treatment, while the suspect has been arrested and is in custody.
