A woman was found lifeless inside a house that was engulfed in flames in Štrpce.
The police announced that the case happened on Monday around 06:30.
The death of the victim was ascertained by the medical team at the scene.
"It is reported that a house has been engulfed in fire. The relevant units have arrived at the scene, while the firefighting team has located and extinguished the fire. During the inspection of the house engulfed in fire, a female Kosovar victim was found without signs of life, whose death was confirmed by the medical team," the announcement states.
By decision of the prosecutor, the dead body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for autopsy.
