The Basic Court in Prishtina announced that four suspects have been sentenced to one month of detention for the criminal offense of "serious bodily harm".

It is about the case of a beating that happened in the early hours of Saturday on "Dervish Qollaku" street in Prishtina, after which five suspects were taken into custody, while another suspect who suffered bodily injuries was taken to NCDC for further treatment.

In the announcement of the Court, it is said that there is a suspicion based on the fact that in the parking lot behind "Routte 66" on Dervish Çollaku Street - Industrial Zone in Pristina, after an immediate disagreement inside the discotheque with the injured AN, the defendants go out in front of the entrance of the discotheque and wait until the victim goes out and at the moment when the victim leaves the discotheque, the four defendants accompany him and hit him with hard tools (bricks) in different parts of the body, where as a result of these blows, the victim suffers injuries heavy body.

"The judge of the preliminary procedure has approved as well-founded the request of the Basic Prosecution in Pristina to assign a measure of detention to the defendants JM, PG, PH and MM, and they are assigned a measure of detention for a duration of one month, for each one. The court assesses that the conditions for the appointment of detention have been met, since if the defendants are released, there is a risk of their escape, they may avoid the criminal procedure, given the circumstances and the way the criminal offense was committed, the court assesses that the release the freedom of the defendants can greatly endanger the fair development of the criminal procedure, the influence on the witnesses, as well as the same may repeat the criminal offense or may commit an even more serious criminal offense", the announcement states.
