The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina has ordered a 48-hour detention measure against a teacher at the "Pavarësia" school in the capital, who is suspected of attacking a student.
This was confirmed to KOMA by the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina, Zejnullah Gashi, announcing that the case has been initiated for the criminal offense of "Mistreatment during the exercise of official duty or public authorizations."

The incident allegedly occurred on Monday, when the teacher was involved in a physical conflict with a student at the school.
Meanwhile, KOHA has attempted to get a comment from the principal of the "Pavarësia" school, Halil Brahaj, but he has not been accessible.
The psychologist at the "Pavarësia" school, Nazmi Mahmuti, explained to "KosovaPress" how the incident happened.
He said that the main instigator of the violence was the student and that "in an organized manner, he and his friends attacked the professor in the teachers' lounge."
"While he was working, the student in question with the initials AO insulted him with inappropriate language. The teacher tried to remove him and neutralize the situation. After that, he entered the teachers' lounge to drink coffee during the break, the student who left at that moment called 9 other students, the 10th himself entered the teachers' lounge and attacked the person in question. They all attacked the teacher, he tried to defend himself in certain ways. The published video is the end of the scenario, where the students recorded the incident at the end", emphasizes Mahmuti.
Psychologist Mahmuti noted that this case was the "tip of the iceberg", as the student in question was a person known as "unmanageable for this school".
"He is a student who has been unmanageable. We have had intensive contact with parents to stabilize the student with the school. However, not even the psychologist's focus has been able to positively influence the situation. This has been the 'tip of the iceberg'," he emphasizes.
Mahmuti claims that the case poses a problem because it occurred in a place where there are no cameras.
"They have avoided places where there are cameras, they have entered the teachers' lounge"
Investigations regarding this case are ongoing.
On Monday, a video was published by the medium Kallxo.com, showing that a physical fight took place inside the school premises.
