Over 250 kilograms of undeclared tobacco have been confiscated by Kosovo Customs in Pristina.

The Customs announcement stated that the tobacco was found and confiscated during an operational check in an unmarked facility near the green market in Pristina on Thursday.

"During the inspection, goods without documentation of origin were found and, on the basis of a well-founded suspicion of smuggling, were confiscated: Shredded tobacco (refuse) - 511 packages x 500 gr = 255.5 kg without labels, honey - 100 packages x 12 pieces = 1,200 kg without any inscription, cigarette filters - 21 packages x 10,000 pieces = 210,000 pieces," the announcement states.

Customs further announced that the goods have been temporarily stopped and the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina has been notified of the findings, to guide further procedural steps.
