Four cases of domestic violence have been reported in the last 24 hours in Kosovo.
According to the announcement by the Police in Gjakova, a woman was arrested after attacking her mother with a knife. it is reported that the victim suffered minor injuries but did not receive medical treatment. The suspect was stopped by the Police and taken into custody.
And in Podujevë, a man was also arrested after verbally threatening and then physically attacking his mother. The suspect was taken into custody.
In Suharekë, a man was arrested after he verbally threatened his wife and children in a drunken state and forced them to leave the house. Police units, during the search at the suspect's house, found and confiscated an AK-47 firearm and 82 cartridges, and by order of the prosecutor, the suspect was taken into custody.
In Pristina, a suspect physically attacked his sister. The victim received the necessary medical treatment. In relation to the case, the state prosecutor was consulted, who recommended that after the interview, the suspect be released and the case be processed in a regular procedure.
