Over 122 thousand euros and over 800 euros in foreign currency have been confiscated by Customs due to an attempt to undeclared them upon entry into the territory of Kosovo.
According to the Customs announcement, a vehicle with foreign license plates, driven by a Romanian citizen with four passengers, was presented from Dheu i Bardhë.
During the initial check and standard customs questioning regarding possession of cash above the legal threshold of 10,000 euros per person, the travelers declared that they had no funds to declare.
However, after a detailed check, customs officials found undeclared 32,500 euros in a handbag.
"Based on the suspicions raised, the vehicle was sent to the second control line, where a detailed check was carried out in cooperation with the Border Police. During this check, an additional 90,100 euros, as well as 4,187 Romanian lei (about 800 euros) were discovered in the trunk of the vehicle, namely in hidden spaces in the battery compartment and under the plastic of the spare tire," the announcement states.

In total, authorities have seized 122,600 euros and 4,187 Romanian lei as undeclared cash.
The case has been sent for further investigation.
