The Basic Court in Pristina has sentenced a person to 3 years imprisonment and a 500 euro fine for the criminal offense of "theft".

In the press release, the Court says that GB has been charged by the Prosecutor's Office since on 25.10.2019 in "Garibaldi" street, near the Grand Hotel in Pristina, with the purpose of embezzling foreign movable items, himself or another person to benefit her illegally, "had taken advantage of the situation when the injured DM had been buying things at a kiosk, and the accused had managed to take her phone from her pocket and run away from the scene , thus causing material damage to the victim in the amount of 600 euros".

"The accused GB has been found guilty and has been sentenced to imprisonment for a duration of 3 (three) years, which sentence will be executed after the finality of this judgment, as well as a fine in the amount of 500 (five hundred) euros. In this sentence, the time spent in detention is calculated for the accused from 12.11.2019 onwards", says the Court, adding that the measure of detention for the accused GB is continued until the finality of this judgment.

The accused GB from the documents that the Court possesses is recognized as a recidivist who had previously been convicted by the Court for various criminal offences.
