A serious incident has been recorded in the village of Arapaj, Durrës, where a momentary clash between two people a few days ago ended in death a day after the physical attack.
The police have detained L. Ç., who is accused of the criminal offense of "Intentional serious injury resulting in death."
According to the investigation, the young man is suspected of punching the 52-year-old SF for weak motives on November 9, after the drunk victim verbally harassed the suspect's sick brother.
As a result of the impact, the victim fell headfirst to the ground, sustaining serious injuries, TCH reported.
Despite medical assistance initially received locally and then at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, the 52-year-old died on November 10 at the Trauma Hospital.
After ascertaining the death, the Durrës Police detained the suspect, while the procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further investigative actions.
