Ilir Badalli, accused of the explosion in the village of Zhur in Prizren three years ago that took the life of a policeman, has said that after his arrest he pleaded guilty to planting explosives in his house, together with Arben Gashi, after being mistreated and beaten by the Police.
He made the statement on Friday at the Basic Court in Prizren in the trial where he is accused of having planted an explosive device together with Arben Gashi and Valbo Çollaku in the house in the village of Zhur, in which case when a raid by the Police took place the vehicle exploded while the policeman was left dead, S.Th reports "Oath of Justice".
Badalli has said that he does not stand behind the statements given to the Police since he was forced to admit guilt.
"The reason is that I was mistreated by the police, mistreated by the investigation and I was forced to talk to me as they told me... the reason is that they forced me to talk, that I pleaded guilty with Arbeni that I did it together, that I took the bomb, that they (the police) told me about the bomb, 'you have it' and they beat me," said Badalli.
He said that the police forced him to sign the statement without reading it.

"I was swollen and I don't know what they wrote, they just forced me to sign. They did not give me a letter about what I stated. They told me why you put a bomb in the house, and I am not even aware of what happened in my house", said Badalli.
In the answers to the questions of his defender, lawyer Valdrin Gashi, Badalli said that he knows Gashi and that during the month of January 2020 he met about ten times. Badalli has shown that Gashi had asked him for explosives to send him abroad and that he had asked Rami Badalli to provide the explosives and that for this they had met in the village of Zhur.
As Badalli said, while driving in Zhur, Rami Badalli and Arben Gashi agreed to go to Valbon Çollaku. Further, he said that together they had gone to Valbon Çollaku's apartment and then to a restaurant where Gashi and Valbon Çollaku had agreed to provide him with a kilogram of explosives, and that for this he had asked him for the sum of 200 euros. Badalli said that together with Gashi he had gone to Petrova to get the explosives and that he had helped them to prepare the explosives.
"We entered the basement and Arben Gashi and Valbon Çollaku put on their gloves and Arben Gashi poured the liquid and took out a razor from his pocket and cut the tetrapak. Valbon Çollaku took out a bag with some beer, I don't know what it was. Arben held the box, Valbon filled it with beads, threw the wires out, wrapped the tetrapak with insulation, attached a watch to him and isolated it with a watch battery, Valbon Çollaku told Arben Gashi that since he made the watch, he removed the battery from the one he put it on. He isolated him and Arbeni took him and put him in the driver's seat," said Badalli.
Badalli said that Gashi had gone to his house and that the children had informed him that he had a bag and that he had gone to the second floor of the house. He said that on the critical day, January 28, 2020, he met Gashi after he had taken him to buy a "Kombi" car in Pristina and that they had stopped at a restaurant to drink coffee.
Badalli said that during his stay in the restaurant he realized that the police had gone to his house and were looking for him for a case of domestic violence.

He stated that Gashi had asked him not to tell the Police that he had been with him and that after they reached the village of Zhur at the moment when he had entered the market to buy bread for his children, Gashi had run away and had not answered the phone.
He said that together with the policeman Abdullah they went to his house and saw ambulances and police cars there, and that he tried to enter the house, but was not allowed.

According to the indictment, the two defendants Iran Badalli and Arben Gashi, at the beginning of January 2020, in Prizren, were supplied with an explosive device by the accused Valbon Çollaku, and then they hid the same in the children's bed in the room on the second floor of the house of the accused Iran Badalli in the village of Zhur in Prizren, and after an authorized control of this house by the Narcotics Trafficking Investigation Unit, on January 28, 2020, around at 20:00, in contact with this vehicle, it exploded, where the police officer S.Th was killed, while the other police officers of the same unit - the injured Artur Mrasori, Jetmir Hasanaj and Arsim Byrtyqi suffered serious bodily injuries and the child SB also suffered serious bodily injuries.
With these actions, according to the prosecutor's office, the accused have committed the criminal offense of "causing general danger" from article 356, paragraph 5, 4 and 1 related to article 31 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
While in the provision II of the indictment, it is said that in the same place and time described approximately as in point I of the provision of the indictment, contrary to the applicable law on weapons, in addition to the above-mentioned detonated explosive, they also had hidden the remaining TNT explosive weighing 809.1 gr and a mechanical detonator, in which a slow-burning fuse with a length of 63 cm was placed.
