Kosovo Police have announced that they are investigating the death of a man in Podujeva who was reportedly found without signs of life on Thursday in Podujeva.
The police report states that he had gunshot wounds to his face and that, in addition to a pistol, a knife and gun cleaning tools were found near him at the scene.
"It was reported that the Kosovar male victim was found lying on the floor with no signs of life where the attending physician pronounced him dead. The victim had wounds to his face that were suspected to have been caused by a firearm. At the scene of the incident, a pistol firearm, a sharp instrument (knife), a magazine with a cartridge in it, a cartridge case, some tools for cleaning the weapon, as well as a pair of damaged glasses were found and seized near the victim," the 24-hour Police report states.
During the examination of the scene, it is said that a weapon suspected to be non-functional was also found, as well as 11 rounds of ammunition.
According to the prosecutor's decision, the dead body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.
