The court has sentenced Enver Sekiraq to 25 years in prison for inciting the murder of the policeman Triumf Riza, reports "Betimi per Drejësi".
Sekiraqa's house arrest has also been terminated.
The police officer Triumf Riza was shot dead on August 30, 2007 when he left the AM:PM bar in the "Dardania" neighborhood in Pristina. Arben Berisha was convicted for his murder, who admitted that he shot Riza.
This incident, as claimed by the Prosecutor's Office, was preceded by a series of incidents, the latest of which was the incident at the "Swiss Casino" in December 2006.
Enver Sekiraqa was on the run for about five years.
The suspect, Ilir Avdullahu, was also on the run until July 16, 2023, when he was arrested. The Special Prosecutor's Office has not yet filed an indictment against him.

The prosecution claims that Sekiraqa was the leader of the criminal group and was driven by revenge, since, according to her, Riza had beaten Sekiraqa in the "Swiss Casino" gambling bar in Pristina a year before Riza's murder.
The Basic Court in Pristina, for the second time on September 16, 2019, found Enver Sekiraq guilty of inciting the murder of former policeman Riza and sentenced him to 30 years in prison.
However, the Court of Appeal on March 6, 2020, had decided to approve the appeal of Sekiraqa's defense, returning the case to a retrial for the second time, since according to the Appeal, the verdict of the first instance was obtained in violation of the provisions of the criminal procedure.
