In the last 24 hours, ten cases of domestic violence have been reported to the Kosovo Police in Kosovo.
According to the 24-hour report of the Kosovo Police, three cases have been reported in Pristina, two in Peja, and one each in Lipjan, Podujeva, Ferizaj, Gjakova and North Mitrovica.
In five cases, suspects were taken into custody.
Cases of domestic violence reported in the last 24 hours:
FAMILY VIOLENCE
Pristina / 21.02.2025 – 23:30. It is suspected that the Kosovar female victim and the Kosovar male suspect - her husband - had a verbal dispute and the suspect had grabbed her by both arms in an attempt to stop her and as a result both of them had fallen to the ground. The victim has received medical treatment, while the suspect, after being interviewed in consultation with the prosecutor, was released in due course.
Lipjan / 22.02.2025-10:00. Three suspects were escorted to the police station for questioning after they had a dispute. The female suspects received medical treatment. In consultation with the prosecutor, all suspects were released under regular procedure after questioning.
Podujevo / 22.05.2025-15:00. The suspect, a male, has been arrested after he physically attacked the victim, his fiancée, and threatened to post her photos if she reported the case to the police. The victim, due to her injuries, after receiving medical treatment, has returned to her parents, while the suspect, after being interviewed in consultation with the prosecutor, has been released in due course.
Pristina 22.02.2025, 14:21. The male complainant, a foreign citizen, reported that after a dispute he was threatened and physically attacked by his son. The victim was sent for medical treatment and later released, while the suspect was arrested and, after being interviewed by the prosecutor, was taken into custody.
Pristina 21.02.2025, 21:30, The Kosovar male suspect is suspected of having threatened and physically assaulted the victim, a female, while under the influence of narcotics. The victim did not receive medical treatment, while the suspect was arrested and, after being interviewed by the prosecutor, was taken into custody.
THREATS&ATTACK&DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Ferizaj 22.02.2025, 16:30. The Kosovar male suspect was arrested after he threatened and physically attacked the Albanian female victim, a foreign citizen with whom he lives, after a dispute. After being interviewed by the prosecutor, the suspect was taken into custody.
FAMILY VIOLENCE
Peja / 22.02.2025-10:00. The suspect, a former husband of the victim, a former spouse, with whom they have four children, is suspected of having called their daughter and threatened that if anyone sends her a photo of the victim with a boy, he will kill her. The victim, after being interviewed, has returned to her apartment, while the suspect is expected to be interviewed regarding the case, once his presence is secured. The prosecutor has also been informed and consulted regarding the case. The case is being investigated.
Peja 22.02.2025, 19:00. It was reported that after a dispute, two suspects, a Kosovar male and a foreign female - a man and a woman - got into a fight. The suspects received medical treatment, while by decision of the prosecutor after the interview, the suspect was taken into custody, while the suspect was released in a regular procedure.
FAMILY VIOLENCE
Gjakova 22.02.2025, 21:00. The female suspect was arrested after she, while intoxicated, verbally abused the male victim, her husband. The suspect was taken into custody by the prosecutor after being interviewed.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & THREATS
Mitrovica North 22.02.2025, 22:00. The Kosovar male suspect was arrested after he, under the influence of alcohol, physically attacked the Kosovar female victim, his wife. The victim did not receive medical treatment, while the suspect, after being interviewed by the prosecutor, was taken into custody.
