The court session against Kastriot Islam, who was accused of attempted murder, failed

Ferizaj, December 8 - The trial in the Basic Court in Ferizaj against Kastriot Islam from the village of Sojevë i Ferizaj, who was accused of attempted murder under article 178 related to article 28 of the Criminal Code, has failed. This is due to the non-participation of the parties in court on Friday.

Meanwhile, KOHA has provided the indictment which was filed against the accused Islami, who on February 1, 2015, intentionally tried to deprive the injured Riza Kqiku of his life, while he was returning from Brezovica in the direction of Ferizaj. The injured Riza Kqiku was in the car that day together with his wife (FK) and son (SK), while the defendant Kastriot Islami was traveling with his BMW type car in the same direction from Brezovica towards Ferizaj.

According to the indictment, the defendant Kastriot Islami had stopped the car and initially started a verbal conflict with the victim because he had not cleared the way for him to pass, despite the fact that the road was restricted due to snowfall. First, he started punching the victim's son, in different parts of the body.

"At that moment, Riza Kqiku also got out of the car, to calm the situation between the defendant and his son, and during this fight, the defendant took out a knife, a dangerous and inappropriate tool that could cause serious bodily injuries and hits the victim Riza Kqiku first on the right side of the head near the ear and once on the chest on the right side and from these blows the victim receives soft tissue wounds in the transverse region and the occipital region of the side of the head and on the side of the the breast on the right side of the chest", the indictment states.

The Police Station in Shtërpcë, on February 1, 2015, filed a criminal complaint against the defendant Kastriot Islami, due to the well-founded suspicion that he has committed a criminal offense, attempted murder under article 178, par 1 related to the article 28 of the KPRK, at the time, place and manner described in the slide of this ruling.

According to the indictment, the injured Riza Kqiku, before the law enforcement authorities, had stated that after this incident he had immediately called the Kosovo Police and received medical treatment in the Shtërpce emergency room and was then sent to the KKUK in Pristina for treatment.
