The Basic Court in Peja has announced a guilty verdict against Durim and Sali Lushaj, for the double murder in Shaptej of Deçan, sentencing them to a unique sentence of 43 years of imprisonment.

The judgment against the two accused was announced on Friday by the judge Violeta Husaj-Rugova.
According to the judgment, Durim Lushaj is sentenced to 24 years in prison for the criminal offense of "felony murder", while for the second offense of possession of a weapon without a permit, he is sentenced to two years in prison. To the same, the court announced a unique sentence of 25 years of imprisonment.
Meanwhile, Salih Lushaj was sentenced to 17 years in prison for the criminal offense of "serious murder", while he was sentenced to two years in prison for possession of a weapon without a permit. The same person was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Judge Husaj-Rugova announced that the accused will continue to be detained after the announcement of the verdict.
After the verdict was announced, one of the family members of the Lushaj family addressed the president Violeta Husaj-Rugova, saying that he did not know how to judge.
This caused him to be excluded from the trial, and then the shouting and cursing started between the family members and the family members of the injured party.
The same sentencing verdict against the two convicts was also announced on April 14, 2018. But the Court of Appeals had returned the case to a retrial due to essential violations of the criminal procedure and incomplete verification of the factual situation.
