The Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren has filed an indictment against the defendant EK, who has been under detention since March 13 due to the well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of "Usurpation".
According to the indictment, since July 2023 and continuously, EK has accepted and contracted significantly disproportionate amounts of property in exchange for services for another person, taking advantage of his difficult financial situation, inexperience and inability to judge.
In July, EK had given VQ 5 thousand euros with 15% interest, obliging him to return 6 thousand euros. Within a short time, he gave him two more 10 thousand euros with 20% interest - to then return a total of 24 thousand euros to the victim. After this money, the victim receives another 25 thousand euros and due to delays is forced to pay 40 thousand euros while continuing to pay 6 thousand euros in interest per month, which brings the total amount to 51 thousand.
In addition to the money, the victim agrees to buy a car from the defendant, paying for it after three months with 38 thousand euros, with the first installment of 8 thousand euros. However, even after paying the installment, the defendant forcibly took the car from her, forcing her to pay an additional 6 thousand euros.
As a result, VQ put up for sale two of his apartments to cover financial losses, with the defendant causing him financial losses of around 100 thousand euros - with 48 thousand euros owed to him in interest.
