The Basic Prosecution Office in Peja has filed an indictment against three former police officers, NG, Sh.S. and EE, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offenses of “ill-treatment during the exercise of official duty or official authorizations”, “false notification or report” and “slight bodily injury”.
According to the indictment, the suspects, in their capacity as police officers at the Klina Police Station, are suspected of having mistreated the victim DK in the yard of his house.

The three defendants are accused of having committed the crime on June 28 at the Klina Police Station, with intent and cooperation, making a false report alleging that DK had committed the criminal offense of "Assault on an official person".
"The state prosecutor, in addition to requesting that the defendants be found guilty of the criminal offenses charged in the indictment, has proposed the additional punishment for the defendants of "Prohibition of exercising functions in public places or public services"," the Peja Prosecution Office said in a statement.
